Edge Banding for large and small melamine boards as a service available from Bridec.

EV Hot Melt Application

Commonly made of ABS plastic and adhered to the edge of the board using hot melt glues that set very hard.

Edge banding comes in large rolls and is applied to the board’s edge using precision edge banding equipment.

We price edge banding by the meter for material and machine time.

Waterproof Board (PU)

We can achieve fully waterproof melamine coverings with PU rated waterproof edging products.

Let us know if you are boards are being used in damp or wet environments. We advise using melamine faced moisture resistant MDF and PU rated edge banding to achieve complete water tightness.

We recommend worktop products are waterproofed for use in kitchens. Other applications for fully sealed boards include leisure centre changing rooms, bathrooms, public conveniences, hospital / care home wet rooms and on ships.

Laser Application

Laser edging gives your boards a totally seamless finish where the edge banding meets the melamine face. We can provide edge banding in the same finish as the melamine top for a perfect, joint-less finish. Our worktops are laser edged and are a good example of laser edging being applied to a curved surface that will be on display for the life of the product.
