Melamine Board Cutting and Edging Services

Bridec provides bespoke melamine board cutting and edging (banding & slitting) services to our customers ordering pressed boards.

A 'Cutting Edge' Approach

In our facility in Dorset, we operate state of the art machinery allowing us to offer the three key services needed to finish melamine board satisfactorily:

  • Cutting
  • CNC Machining
  • Edging

Our team are happy to assist and can provide advice over the phone or email when you ask us for a quote. Our consultancy and pre-production planning is all included in our board quote to you.

Cutting

Two dimensional, square cuts using a saw to create smaller panels from our 2440mm x 1220mm (8ft x 4ft) boards. Learn more about our cutting services, cutting lists and labelling.

CNC Machining

Four dimensional milling and drilling that can achieve more complex shapes and bevels using a variety of tool-heads.Learn more about our CNC machining services.

Edging

Manufactured boards (MFC or MDF) have cores made of compressed materials. When cut, the core is exposed on the edge of the board. The edge of the board needs to be made resilient in the same way the top and bottom surfaces are when they are pressed with melamine sheets.

We have a variety of edge banding options that are suited to different applications. Learn more about our Edge banding services.
